What is Capillary Attraction and how does it work in Soldering?

A

Upward movement of liquid through the fibers or cellular structure of a material. Heat pulls solder into joint, Flux allows it to spread evenly.

A

Temperatures above 840 degrees F, typically 1100-1500. Uses MAPP or LP gas. Typically used in refrigeration, medical gas piping, and natural gas piping. Binds metals together better than soldering.
