What are types of protection are used on the coast?
A
Sea walls, groynes and world heritage.

What do groynes do?
A
Groynes trap deposits from long shore drift and help build up the beach.

How do humans impact the coast?
A
We build things like offices , houses, use it for tourism, for education , for business and for leisure.

Why is using groynes also bad for the coast?
A
They are somewhat bad as they are causing longshore drift to stop further up or down the coast which means erosion takes place.

Do humans directly want to effect the coast?
A
No the only thing that directly effects the coast is “coastline protection” otherwise other things like roads and housing is all indirect.
