A
- injecting small amounts of dead or inactive pathogens
- carry antigens which cause body to produce antibodies

A
- MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella)

What are the pros of vaccinations?
A
- help control communicable diseases that used to be common (polio, measles, whooping cough, rubella, mumps, tetanus)
- epidemics can be prevented if a large group of people get vaccinated so those who aren’t are less likely to catch it

A
- they don’t always work, sometimes don’t give immunity
- can have bad reactions to a vaccine like swelling or something serious
