Focal/disseminated granulomatous lesions in brain or spinal cord
Cs- seizure, Cerebellar-vestibular dysfunction
Dx- csf, ct
Tx- lifelong immunosuppressive ( pred., cyclosporine)
Necrotising encephalitis
Forms Necrotising meningoencephalitis (pug) Necrotising leukoencephalitis ( Yorkshire terrier)
Cs- corresponds to lesion location
Tx- GC
Steroid responsive meningitis arteritis
Young dogs/ adults
Cs- cervical rigidity
Hyperaesthesia
Dx- csf : neutrophil pleocytosis
Tx- long term GC
