positive feedback loops amplify the original disturbance

negative feedback loops negate or decrease the effects of the original disturbance
what is a greenhouse gas
a greenhouse gas traps infrared light (heat) in the atmosphere, causing the earth’s temperature to rise

it has drastically increased

ice cores show that CO2 and temperatures have gone up and down a lot in the past, but that our current CO2 concentration is higher than it has been before
