Q

Compare misfit rivers and dry valleys

A

A misfit stream is a river that is either too large or too small to have eroded the valley or cave passage in which it flows. This term is also used for a stream or river with meanders that obviously are not proportional in size to the meanders of the valley or meander scars cut into its valley walls.

a valley cut by water erosion but containing no permanent surface stream, typically one occurring in an area of porous rock such as limestone.

Q

Explain how glaciers have affected both landscapes

A

Glaciers have affected dry valleys as it would have plucked rock and other material and glaciers would have affected misfits as if the river freezes it could erode the rock

Q

Explain 2 ways humans have affected the Upland landscape

A

Humans proceed to affect upland landscapes due to cattle farming and high land forestry

Q

Compare which landscape (up/low) have been affected more by humans

A

I think highland areas have been affected more obviously due to the amount of major factors that could cause it. Such as tourism, rivers and glaciers
