Q

how is a standard solution formed?

A

solid is weighed using a weighing boat

solid is dissolved in a beaker using distilled water

solution is transferred into a volumetric flask and distilled water is used to fill the volumetric flask to a graduation line

stopper is added and the volumetric flask is inverted multiple times

Q

outline titration

A

add solution to a conical flask using a pipette

add the other solution to a burette

add indicator to the conical flask

record initial volume, add the solution from the burette and record the final volume

titre = final - initial
