An understanding of how discrimination and unfair treatment can be detrimental to individuals and their wellbeing is essential for an informed care worker to provide high quality care
You should be able to identile the basis of discrimination and the form it takes. You should be able to evaluate the possible impact of discriminatory practice on the individual concerned and if appropriate effects on the individuals family or care worker
It is the responsibility of all practitioners in all acre environments to recognise discriminatory practice, when it occurs and to respond with appropriate action
