Officers must make a probable cause arrest for battery constituting domestic violence under two conditions.

When the suspect is on scene during the investigation and the battery has occurred within the preceding 24 hours.

If the suspect is not on scene during the investigation an arrest will can be made within 7 days.

7 days starts from date of battery.
No knock and talks
Arrest will be made with officers have lawful access to the suspect.

ensure that every attempt has been made to try and determine a primary physical aggressor and that probable cause exists for both arrests prior to giving approval for any mutual arrest.
