How does light enter the eye.
Light enters the eye through the clear cornea, which slightly refracts light, then the lens which refracts the
light more.
What is the iris?
The iris is the coloured part of the eye it can change size to increase/decrease the size of the pupil to
allow more/less light in
What do muscles in the eye do?
Muscles in the eye control the shape of the lens, thereby changing the focal length allowing focus .
What are rods and cones?
Rods and cones are sensors that detect light in the retina at the back of the eye.

What does the optic nerve do?
The optic nerve carries the visual messages to the brain.
