The feminine form of job titles, nationalities, and some female animals is formed by adding “-in” ending to the masculine form of the noun. If the masculine noun ends in “-e”, take off the final “-e”. An umlaut is usally added to the vowel (ä, ö, ü) if there isn’t one already.
