Period immediately following trauma in which rapid assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization must occur.
Lethal Triad of Hemorrhage ?
- Coagulopathy, Hypothermia and Acidosis.
PRIMARY SURVEY ?
A : Airway with cervical spine protect.
B : Breathing.
C : Circulation –control external bleeding.
D : Disability or neurological status.
E : Exposure (undress) & Environment (temp control).
F: Fracture
Focused Assessment with Sonography in
Trauma (FAST) ?
Ultrasound is the ideal initial imaging modality because it can be performed simultaneously with other resuscitative cares, providing vital information without the time delay caused by radiographs or computed tomography (CT).
The major causes of raised ICP are ؟
haematomas, tumours and hydrocephalus.
