Attached mucosa is retained and forms the gingival margin that is brought down as the canine comes into the line of the arch
Describe the flap design for an apically repositioned flap.
- 3 sided flap
- relieving incisions fairly parallel
- flap should be sutured down with fold in mucosa to form new margin

- triangle incision ot remove frenum
- suture the three sides together from the middle

- stainless steel
- does not fuse to bone like Titanium
- held in by friction, can be removed when required
