How do you extend an object?
Add weight to it; an object stretches when there is weight on it.
What do graphs show about weight added in extension distance?
That they have a linear correlation (they have a straight diagnol line and they increase at the same rate).
On a graph that represents weight added against extenstion distance, what happen to the object when the line starts to curve?
The object has reachedits elastic potential (it has snapped)
What does the characteristics of elastic behavior mean?
That after stretching the object, it will return to its original shape
What does elastic limit mean?
When you stretch your object too much that it does not retain its original shape
