Collection of two or more interacting individuals with stable pattern of relationships between them who share common goals and who perceive themselves as being a grp
Types of groups:
1. Formal and informal goals

2. Open and closed grps(In groups, have members to change or join at any time. But closed groups have fixed number of members)

Three stages:
1. Unfreezing [demonstrating the need for change ]

management decision styles:
1. Autocratic
A I: Leader solves the problem or makes a decision alone using information available at the time.
A II: Leader obtains information from subordinates, but then decided on solution alone
2. consultative
C I: Problem is shared with relevance subordinates individually leader then makes decision which may or may not reflect the influence of subordinates
C II: Problem is solved with subordinates as group, then leader makes a decision which may or may not reflect the influence of subordinates
