What causes it?

A

A recurrent tendency to spontaneous, intermittent, abnormal electrical activity in part of the brain, manifesting as seizures
Convulsions are the motor signs of electrical discharges
Stroke, tumours, severe trauma, drug / alcohol abuse, infection, hypoxia at birth
