Under extreme circumstances (loss of life or limb emergencies only) and no contract flight services are available, a Company aircraft may be used after 20:00 only under which of the following conditions?

  1. The flight must be authorized by the Senior Pilot
  2. The flight must be authorized by the Chief Pilot and or Manager of Aircraft Operations.
  3. IFR procedures will be used for the flight using multi-engine IFR equipped aircraft.
  4. Two pilots who are qualified in the aircraft and instrument current.
  5. Weather minimums for VFR flights at night will be 1000 ft. ceiling and 3 miles visibility.
  6. Night IFR flights will not be conducted when the weather is less than 500 ft. ceiling and 2 miles visibility.
  7. Pilots shall be proficient and current IAW FAR 61.57.
  8. The PIC shall have a minimum of 100 hrs. night offshore time
  9. The PIC must have completed initial or recurrent offshore night/IFR/CRM/deck landing proficiency training within the last 12 months.
  10. The PIC shall have a minimum of 25 hrs. night offshore time and must have completed initial or recurrent offshore night/IFR/CRM/deck landing proficiency training within the last 6 months.
