Eaves (n)
Usually, eaves. the overhanging lower edge of a roof.

Dredge (v)
to clear out with a dredge; remove sand, silt, mud, etc., from the bottom of.
They regularly must dredge San Diego Bay as silt builds up on the bottom.

to elevate in degree, excellence, or respect; dignify; exalt:
His was a personality ennobled by true generosity.
Elopement (n)
an act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married.
The family was disappointed at their elopement.
Dogmatic (adj)
of, pertaining to, or of the nature of a dogma or dogmas; doctrinal.
They are dogmatic about the dogma of the church.
Acumen (n)
keen insight; shrewdness:
He showed remarkable acumen in business matters.
Inducement (n)
to lead or move by persuasion or influence
The organization gave bonuses as an inducement for a good job.
Pursuant (adj)
proceeding after; following (usually followed by to ):
Pursuant to his studies he took a job in an office.
