Indicator Species for No Pollution
Mayfly Nymph. Not tolerant of low oxygen levels, so presence of mayfly nymph shows good water condition.
Indicator Species for Slight Pollution.
Freshwater shrimp.
Indicator Species for Heavy Pollution.
Sludgeworm. A species adapted to pollution and low oxygen levels.
Cold and Hot Currents
Cold Currents - Poles to Equator - Humboldt Current off Peru
Hot Currents - Equator to Poles - Gulf Stream in North Atlantic Ocean
