What does ES clinically mimic?
Infection

Long bones (femur, tibia, fibula, humerus)
Classic location in the bone for ES?
Diaphysis
Do you normally see a speculated response in an infection?
No, so that is a good way to differentiate between primary malignancy and infection
Plain film findings?
Permeative, usually mixed pattern, wide zone of transition
Do you usually see a laminated periosteal response?
Not usually, but it is possible (25-50%)
Early sign of ES?
Cortical Saucerization
ES is the most common primary bone tumor to metastasize to ___?
Bone (frequent and early skeletal mets)
Another common mets site for ES?
Lungs
