3a.Images Shoulder & Pectoral Flashcards
label this bone. What bone is it and what view is it? Which side of the body is this (what is lateral?)
The scapula from the anterior view. Know it is the anterior view because you cannot see the spine. Here the coracoid process is viewable bc it is anterior and the subscapula fossa is also viewable because it is anterior. Know the view on the right shoulder as well. The lateral border is lateral side
label this bone. What bone is it? what view?
THe posterior and lateral view of the scapula. You know its the lateral view because you can see the spine. *need to clearly see the supraspinous fossa vs the infraspinousfossa.
notes: the borders are helpful for orientation. And you see that the acromion process is located posteriorly and LATERALLY –> therefore you can figure out left or right
notes: the supraspinous fossa is above the spine, and infraspinous fossa is below the spine.
