Q

PROPELLER - LOW PITCH

Indication: CAS warning - “Propeller Low Pitch”

A

Propeller pitch is less than 6 degrees (minimum pitch in flight) and the aircraft is not on the ground

  1. PCL - Ensure forward of idle detent

if it is not possible to maintain speed and height

  1. CONDITION LEVER - CUT-OFF/FEATHER
  2. Aircraft - Emergency Descente and Landing Procedures

Q

ENGINE NP

Indication: CAS warning or caution - “ENGINE NP”

A

ON GROUND

  1. NP - check NP RPM indication

if propeller RPM is below 930

  1. PCL - Retard aft of idle detent or increse power until NP is above 950 rpm

if proppeller RPM is above 1760

  1. PCL - Reduce power

IN FLIGHT

  1. NP - Check NP RPM indication

if propeller RPM is below 1640

  1. PCL - increase power
  2. Aircraft speed - increase

If proppeller RPM is above 1760

  1. PCL - Reduce power
  2. Aircraft Speed - Reduce

If NP remains between 1760 and 1870 RPM

  1. Aircraft - Continue flight, at low speed, using minimum possible power.

If NP is above 1870 RPM

  1. PCL - Reduce power (idle if necessary)
  2. Aircraft speed - Reduce to 120 kias or below
  3. Land as soon as possbile, using minimum power, Retaining glide capability, to in case total propeller failure.

ENGINE NG

Indication: CAS warning or caution - ENGINE NG

A
  1. NG - Check NG % indication

if NG is above 103.5%

  1. PCL - Reduce Power

If NG is above 104%

  1. PCL - Reduce power
  2. Aircraft speed - Reduce to 120 KIAS or below
  3. Land as soon as possible, using minimum power, retaining glide capability.

if NG is below 60%

  1. PCL - Increase power
  2. Aircraft speed - increase

if engine does not respond to PCL inputs

Carry out engine failure in flight - partial loss procedure

Indication: Warning or caution - Engine Oil Press

A
  1. Check OIL P PSI

if oil pressure warning/caution is confirmed

  1. NG - Check above 72%
  2. Torque - Reduce to below 24 PSI

if oil pressure warning/caution reamains

  3. PCL - Increase power

if oil tem does not return to normal

  1. ELECTRICAL HEAT/COOL Switch - Inhibit

IN FLIGHT

  1. Check OIL T C º Indication

if oil temp is high

  1. PCL - Reduce power

if oil temp does not returno to normal
