  2. Breaking - As required

if runway overran or collision is likely

  1. Condition Lever - CUTOFF/FEATHER
  2. FUEL EMERG shut off - press latch down and pull lever up

ENGINE FAILURE AFTER ROTATION - LANDING GEAR DOWN

A

if total power loss
if altitude is not sufficiente to select a runway or field

  1. aircraft - land straight ahead turning only to avoid obststrution (max 30º bank angle)
  2. Flaps - 40º
  3. Final app speed - 88kt. AOA centered
  4. PCL - Idle
  5. Condition Lever - CUT-OFF/FEATHER
  6. FUEL EMERGY shutt off - latch down and pull lever up

after touch down

Q

ENGINE FAILURE IN FLIGHT - PARTIAL POWER LOSS

indications:
- un-commanded engine power reduction
- no response to PCL movement

*Below NG 58% ACS will go off, at aprox NG 35%both GEN will go off

A
  1. PCL - Idle
  2. MOR - Pull upwards and move slowly forward until engine responds, wait and let engine stabilize

if engine compressor stall and/or ITT exceeded

  1. MOR - Retard and move very slowly forward

if NG falls below 50%

  1. Starter - Push
  2. MOR - Move forward to required power (NG> 80%)
  3. Land as soon as pratical

CAUTION

WHEN MOR IS IN OPERATION IS NOT PERMIT NG TO FALL BELOW 75%

  1. MOR - at least 75%

after touch down

  1. Condition Lever - CUT-OFF/FEATHER

total landing distance is increased by a factor of 2

do not use mor on ground for taxiing

Q

ENGINE FAILURE IN FLIGHT - TOTAL POWER LOSS

A
  1. Autopilot - Use SPD

best glide speed (prop feathered)

10450 - 119 kt
9920 - 116
9040 - 110
8160 - 105
7280 - 99
6400 - 93

  1. PCL - Idle
  2. Condition Lever - Cut off
  3. Proceed to nearest airfield
  4. Remaining fuel - check
  5. Carry out Air Start

if cabin altitude is above 10000ft

  1. make an emergency descent

if engine air start is not successful

make a forced landing

Q

AIR START - WITH STARTER

do not attempt more than one air start repeated air start attmpts could discharge the baterry to a level that would no be able to supporte essential electrical services

A
  1. PCL - idle
  2. Condition lever - CUT-OFF/FEATHER
  3. FUEL EMGCY shut off - full in
  4. BAT 1 BAT 2 switch - ON
  5. Air start envelope - check
  6. ignition swicht - ON
  7. starter - push
  8. condition lever - flight idle (NG > 13%)
  9. ITT and NG - Monitor

when engine has relit NG>60%

  1. IGNITION switch - AUTO
  2. FUEL PUMP swithces - AUTO
  3. GEN 1 and 2 - Check volts amps
  4. eletrical equip - as req

if air start is not sucessefull

make a forced landing
