3.3 Reliability Flashcards
1
Q
Define reliability.
A
How consistent findings from an experiment or measuring device are.
2
Q
Define Test-retest reliability.
A
Method of assessing reliability of a questionnaire/psych test by assessing the same person on 2 separate occasions. This shows the extent to which a test is reliable.
3
Q
Define inter-observer reliability.
A
Extent to which there’s an agreement between 2 or more observers in observation of behaviour.
4
Q
How is inter-observer reliability measured?
A
By correlating the observations of 2 or more observers. If data has >+.8 reliability, it has high inter observer reliability
