- The potential for violence to officers or citizens
- The officer is acting alone
- The subject is known or believed to be armed

- Radio contact is lost with dispatch or backup officers

Supervisors will make every effort to respond and will continuously assess the situation to ensure the foot pursuit is conducted within established department guidelines.
Foot Pursuit- SUPERVISOR WILL RESPOND WHEN THE FOLLOWING OCCURS
- Injury to an officer, citizen, or suspect
- Any entry into a residence or similar structure, regardless of it is occupied or not
- Any reportable force
- Any other unusual occurrence that warrants supervisory oversight
Upon apprehension of the suspect, the supervisor should promptly respond to the termination point and direct post pursuit activity. Supervisors should conduct an after action review with the officers involved
