Q

Describe the process of DNA replication

A
  1. DNA helicase breaks H2 bonds between complimentary bases
  2. Allows unwinding of double helix
  3. Free DNA nucleotides attracted to exposed bases & form complimentary base pairs through H2 bonding
  4. A pairs with T and C pairs with G
  5. Phosphodiester bonds formed by condensation reactions between adjacent free nucleotides
  6. Catalysed by DNA polymerase
