3.1 Flashcards
Parallel Lines Crossed by Transversal
a line that intersects two or more coplanar lines at different points
Transversal
lie on the same side of the Transversal and on the same sides of the intersecting lines
Corresponding Angles
Are non adjacent angles that lie on the opposite sides of the Transversal between the intersected lines
Alternate Interior Angles
Lie on the same side of the transversal between the intersected lines
Consecutive Exterior Angles
Lie on the opposite sides of the Transversal outside the intersected lines
Alternate Exterior Angles
Lie on the same side of the Transversal outside the intersected lines
Consecutive Exterior Angles
Are any lines in the same plane that do not intersect
Parallel Lines
uses boxes and arrows to show the structure of a logical argument.
