18
Q

Why was Odo significant?

A

It shows that William trusted key members of the aristocracy to act as regent whilst he was gone

It shows us how William would punish anyone ruthlessly who went against him

The Pope criticised William for imprisoning one of his bishops. William ignored this; he felt he had the right to do what he liked in his own kingdom.
