then joins with its’ duct
What is the function of the ductus deferens?
carries the sperms for the ejaculations
Where is the ejaculatory duct and what does it open into?
prostate
opens into the seminal colliculus
Where is the seminal vesicle?
between the bladder and the rectum
What does the seminal vesicle do?
secretes alkaline fluid fructose fibrinogen vitamin C prostoglandins
comprises 50-70% of semen
What does the prostate secrete?
milky thin stuff rich in proteolytic enzymes, fibrinolysis, and citric acid
30-50% of semen
Where is the bulbourethral gland?
within the external urethral sphincter muscle
What is erectile tissue called?
corposa cavernosa and corpus spongiosum
What innervates the penis?
pudendal nerves (sensory and sympathetic) pelvic splanchnic nerves (parasympathetic)
What innervates the scrotum?
anterior and posterior scrotal nerves
What type of muscle is in the scrotum?
dartos muscle
What lines the ovaries?
germinal epithlium
