The worlds eyes were on Germany, hitler wanted to look good and didn’t want to give anyone a reason to criticize

What was Kristallnacht?
A night of violence against the jews, organised by the nazi party. Gangs burned and smashed up jewish shops and businesses. Synagogues were destroyed.
What happened after Kristallnacht?
- Goebbles blamed the jews for starting all the trouble
- Jews were fined 1bil. Marks for the damage
- 20,000 jews had been rounded up to concentration camps
What was significant about kristallnacht?
First widespread violence against the jews, a taste of what was to come.
