Who does it affect?
A
Increasing incidence in women so likely M=F
Incidence increases with age

What causes it?
A
Dysplasia of lung epithelium occurs as a result of exposure to carcinogens –> mutations

What signs may the patient have on examination?
A
Cachexia Anaemia Clubbing Supraclavicular / axillary lymph nodes Unilateral pleural effusion Mets: bone tenderness, hepatomegaly, confusion
