Asymmetric key is using the same key to encrypt and decrypt. Some algorithms include Des, 3Des, AES and RC4.

A
Asymmetric uses two mathematically related keys to encrypt and decrypt a public key is distributed in the private key is secured. Some algorithms include RSA, elliptical curve crypto system, Diffee Hellman and El Gamal.
