HITORI, FUTARI, sannin, YONIN, gonin, rokunin, NANANIN or SHICHININ, hachinin, KYUUNIN, juunin. Juuichinin(11). Nannin? (How many people?)
Counting ages
ISSAI, nisai, sansai, YONSAI, gosai, rokusai, NANASAI, HASSAI, KYUUSAI, JUSSAI. Juuissai (11), hatachi (20). Nansai?/(O)ikutsu? (What is your age?/How old are you?)
Do NOT use “shinin” for four people.
“Shinin” means “a dead person”.
Do NOT use “kusai” for nine-years-old.
“Kusai” means “is smelly”.
Is that so? (Used very often by a listener as a response to new information he/she receives, ofeten used as one nods.)

Hontoo desu ka?
A possessive and descriptive particle.
