A

Their infinitives end in ‘-ere’

How are 2nd conjugation verbs conjugated?

A
  • remove the -ere from the infinitive to form a stem.
    e. g habere (to have); stem = hab
  • add the appropriate ending for the person.
    e. g. for the 1st person singular (I), add -EO; habeo (I have)
