Apprentice
A worker at least 16 years old who is employed to learn an apprenticeable occupation

Written agreement between sponsor/committee that contains terms and conditions of employment and training.

Persons designated by sponsor to administer the program.

An apprenticeship committee that is compsed of equal number of reps from employer and collective bargaining agent

A plan containing all terms and conditions for employment and training of apprentices

Termination of a program at the request of a sponsor or termination of an apprenticeship agreement at the request of the apprentice.

Employer
person or organization who employ’s an apprentice
Federal Purpose
any federal contract, grant, agreement, arrangement, or assistance pertaining to apprenticeships
Interim Credential
credential issued by registration agency as certification of competency attainment by an apprentice
Journeyworker
a worker who has attained a level of skill recognized by the industry as having mastered the occupation
Office of Apprenticeship
The office designated to administer the National Apprenticeship System
