Totipotent Stem cells can be extracted in the first 3 or 4 days after fertilisation, and pluripotent on day 5.

Often used in in vitro fertilisation.

Can grow into human beings, ethical objections.

Uses of multipotent adult stem cells

Answer 2

For growth and tissue repair.

Stem cell therapy to treat diseases.

Blood types may need to match in each other’s bone marrow. Preferably, one’s own stem cells are used because there is a lower chance of rejection by the recipient’s immune system.
