Q

What is electron diffraction?

A
  1. Electrons are accelerated and incident on metal foil / carbon film / crystal structure in a vacuum.
  2. Electrons diffract (when passing through film/foil/structure) and an interference pattern is set up on the fluorescent screen.
  3. Where there is constructive interference, concentric rings observed.
