This phrase literally means that all the graves are full of people who have eaten too much for dinner! You would use it after you have eaten far, far too well for your last meal of the day. This is very relevant in Spain, where people eat very late and don’t have time to digest before bed.
De buenas cenas están las sepulturas llenas
37
You would say this when something like a film or a meeting is overly long and boring. It literally means, “It’s longer than a day without bread”. As bread was the staple food in Spain in the past, days were pretty long and unbearable without it!
Es más largo que un día sin pan
38
What do you (talking to more than 1 person) usually eat, Spanish food or food from other countries?
¿Qué soléis comer, comida española o de otros países?
