2.4 Flashcards
What is kinematic equation 1?
v = u + a x t
What is kinematic equation 2?
x = u + v x t
/2
What is kinematic equation 3?
x = u x t + 0.5 x a x t^2
What is kinematic equation 4?
V^2 = u^2 + 2ax
What is a, t, x, u and v stand for?
Acceleration, time, distance travelled, initial velocity and final velocity
What are vectors?
x, u, v and a (they have direction)
What is momentum?
The product of the mass and velocity of an object. How much ‘motion’ an object has
p= m x v
What is newtons second law?
The resultant force of an object that causes a change in the speed or direction of an object
What is the total momentum before an interaction?
The total momentum after an interaction
Positive (+) momentum= right
Negative (-) momentum= left
What is moments?
The turning force that acts on a nut is called a moment
What is the principle of moments?
Moments tend to act in pairs about a pivot
F2 D2= F1 D1
