What does quality mean?
To a customer, quality means getting what they want – or perhaps better than expected; some companies use the term ‘customer delight’. A product or service that meeets the standard set by customers.
What is meant by ‘Quality Control’?
A product is tested for quality at the end of the production process. If the product didn’t meet a certain standard, it would be reworked or thrown away.
One advantage of Quality Control
Quicker and Lower staff costs
One disadvantage of Quality Control
- Too late to correct errors
- Products must be destroyed
- Increses unit costs
What does Quality Assurance mean?
Every employee that is inloved in the production process is responsible for the quality of the product.
Advantages of Quality Assurance?
- Zero defects
- Less waste
- Employees more invloved
Disadvantages of Quality Assurance?
- More time consuming
- Higher staff costs
What does “Business Culture” mean?
The shared values, beliefs and norms of a business that affect every aspect of work life.
What is a warranty?
The guarantee by the producer that it will repair any faults in a product for a specifi c period of time, often one year.
