What are T-90 Tanks ?
A
These are Russian origin tanks that are Indian Army’s main battle tanks

A
1) Recently deployed in Galwan valley
2) Defence Ministry has signed a contract with BEML ltd for procuring “Mine Ploughs” for these tanks

What are Mine ploughs ?
A
These are an added tool infront of battle tanks that clears off the mine in the front (like ploughing)

BEML Ltd details ?
A
1) Established in 1964 as a PSU
2) It has partially disinvested and now Govt owns 54% of total equity and the rest 46% are held by Public and Financial institutions, FIIs, banks etc
3) Operates under 3 major businesses – Mining and Construction , Defence , Rail and Metro
