A
- Zygomorphic, only one plane of symmetry
- Economic use of pollen, only enough needed to cover part of body that come into contact with stigma.
- Deep nectarines, long insect tongue required.
- Morphology - requires strong/heavy insects to enter.
- Usually pollinated by bees

A
- Insect, generally bee, lands in the wings of flower
- Weight of bee presses wings apart and keel downwards.
- Stamen and stigma become exposed.
- They come into contact with ventral section of insects’ body
- Bee moves pollen to another flower. NB. In pea pollen is released in the keel
