Q

What is base pairing and what are the pairs?

A

Base pairing is the concept that nitrogenous bases must be bound to another base. (A) bind to (T) and (C) binds to (G). This means all strands of DNA have equal numbers of (A) and (T) and (C) and (G).
(Known as Chargaff’s rule).
