What does the psychodynamic theory suggest
That out mind can be broke into 3 elements.
What are the 3 elements in the psychodynamic theory
Unconscious, conscious, preconscious
What did Freud suggest about criminal behaviour
It stems from unresolved conflict from your childhood. Which leads to trauma in your preconscious and leads to you committing crime.
What model describes the Psychodynamic theory
Iceberg model
where are the 3 elements of the mind on the iceberg.
-conscious is at the top, peaking out
-pre conscious is just below the surface
-unconscious is the large hidden part of the iceberg
Freud also suggested that within these elements theres 3 things that are your personality. Name them.

What is the ID and what does it do
The Id is our instinct, its present at birth and it’s our pleasure principle. It’s entirely selfish.
What is the EGO and what does it do
Reality, develops at around 2 years old, its our reality principle. Mediator
What is the SUPEREGO and what does it do
Morality, develops at 5-6 years old, its our morality principle.
How do peoples morals develop as a child
Through internalisation of the same-sex parents morals

Weak superego, deviant superego, Overly harsh superego
