Equipment for biological drawings
A
- sharp pencil (HB generally preferred, but H, 2H or B is allowed
- pencil sharpener
- eraser
- ruler (for label lines)
- plain paper

Rules for drawing biological drawings
A
- LINE drawing, not a picture
- give drawing an underlined title that fully explains drawing
- use smooth continuous lines to draw, no overlapping, no gaps
- no shading/colouring in
- at least half the page
- pencil for labels
- labels must be straight lines, parallel to the heading. Arrows shouldn’t be used
- labels must exactly touch part of the cell you are labelling
- include a scale
