WHAT IS CHANGE?
Change is a business’s planned or unplanned response to factors from the business environments.
These changes can be radical (major changes) or incremental (smaller changes)
WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
Leadership is motivating and inspiring employees to achieved objectives.
Leadership is important in times of change so that a clear vision is created and communicated to the key stakeholders. The purpose of leadership is to get all key stakeholders on the same page.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD LEADER?
Initially, a good leader prepares people in the business for a change in status quo, this may involve communicating changes and their potential impact, communicating where the business is and why changes are happening
keeping employees well-informed, and answering any questions. Next, leadership involves building commitment from employees, this may involve training employees, building work teams, and establishing systems to implement change.
WHEN IS LEADERSHIP IMPORTANT?

HOW DOES LEADERS SUPPORT EMPLOYEES/STAKEHOLDERS?
Those struggling to change by displaying empathy and good listening skills - empathy being able to understand how employees feel when they find out about change. Generates energy around change. Once all stakeholders are working towards a common goal, a good leader will ensure that all processes and systems are in place to all for effective change.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR LEADERS TO OFFFER SUPPORT?
Offering support allows energy to continue to generate especially during difficult times. This keeps focus on the outcome, without good leadership, resistance is likely.
