A
  1. Prior to hot zone entry, personnel shall remove the ID tag from their turnout coats and give it to the company/team leader.
  2. The leader shall attach personnel ID tags to his/her ID tag with the company designator.
  3. The leader shall give the company/team ID tags to the Incident Commander or the Accountability Officer.
  4. Personnel assigned to Rehab shall give their IDtags to the Rehab Manager.
  5. Personnel assigned to Staging shall give their ID tags to the Staging Manager.
  6. If a formal command post has not been established, companies/teams shall hang their company/team ID tags on the receptacle provided inside the driver’s door of the first arriving company apparatus.
    a. The exception to this is when the first arriving Company Officer identifies a different location for entry into the hot zone and identifies which apparatus shall be the temporary collection point for ID tags

6.0 PROCEDURE FOR ORDERING A PERSONNEL ACCOUNTABILITY REPORT (PAR)
6.1 Incident Commander
For a building collapse, suspected lost/trapped firefighter, following an order to abandon a structure and/or change in strategy

  1. Make the announcement, “Command to all personnel, prepare for PAR.”
  2. Ask each direct report for a PAR.
    Examples: “Command to Roof Ventilation, PAR.”
    “Roof Ventilation, Jones and Smith, NE corner roof”
    “Command to Search Team A, PAR”
    “Search Team A, Smith, Jones, Stevens, Searching Floor 2” “Command to Division 5, PAR”
    “Division 5, Smith, Jones, Adams, Brown, Davis, Card and Williams, Floor 5” 3.
    Continue the process until all personnel are accounted for.
