What is the SDGE Fire Potential Index (FPI)?
It is a seven (7) day outlook to inform personnel of pending weather factors influencing fire behavior. It is a tool used to plan and make decisions early on, such as “up-staffing” and operational decisions. This technology uses weather, live and dead fuel moisture, and greenness of the annual grasses.
Takes into account past incidents like the Cedar Fire and situational awareness (perception and reality).

Enter the station you got deployed from for the duration of the deployment.
What are the options for employee’s returning from Strike Team deployments on regular-duty?
- Stay on-duty until shift ends to receive premium pay
- Use AL or Comp and go home, but lose premium pay
