Standard form
Standard form is a way of writing down very large or very small numbers easily.
Expanded form
When we write the number 521, what that number really means is that we have the total of 500 + 20 + 1
Factors
To factor a number means to break it up into numbers that can be multiplied together to get the original number.
Multiples
For examples, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 are multiples of 2
Prime number
A Prime Number can be divided evenly only by 1, or itself
Composite number
A whole number that can be divided evenly by numbers other than 1 or itself.
Equivalent fraction
Multiplying the numerator and the denominator of a fraction by the same nonzero whole number will change that fraction into an equivalent fraction, but it will not change its value. Equivalent fractions may look different, but they have the same value.
Line plot
A line plot is a graph that shows frequency of data along a number line
Line
A line is a straight one-dimensional figure having no thickness and extending infinitely in both directions.
Line segment
The part of a line that connects two points.
Angle
An angle is a combination of two rays (half-lines) with a common endpoint.
Acute angle
In math, the word ‘acute’ refers to an angle less than 90°, or to a shape involving angles less than 90°
Right angle
A right angle is equal to 90 degrees
Obtuse angle
An obtuse angle is one which is more than 90° but less than 180° In other words, it is between a right angle and a straight angle.
Perimeter
The perimeter of a figure is the total distance around the edge of the figure.
