A

King George the III sent strict instructions to Murray. He wanted to establish British institutions in the colony and had a plan of assimilating the Canadien people.

A

What is the test act?

A

An oath the Canadiens were required to swear if they wanted to work in the British colonial administration. They had to renounce their catholicism and swear allegiance to King George the III.
